Funny customer service

We had problem with our DSL for several days.  The modem kept on restarting by itself, but the internet couldn’t be connected.  We called the service provider twice. However, the problem was still there.  So we finally decided to terminate the service and change to cable.  We didn’t complain because we totally understand that sometimes this happens even for the best service provider.  

Then the funny story came.  When we called the service provider again to cancel the service, the lady over the phone wore a very mechanical voice.  When the cancellation was finally done, she ended the call with the polite formula,”thank you for choosing <their company name>. You have a good day.”  I had a hard time to suppress my desire to correct her, “you should say, “thank you for leaving <their company name>”, madam.”  ha ha…
